Bruce “Biff” Warren is an attorney with Warren, Carlson & Moore, LLP. He was born and raised in Creighton, Nebraska, a community of 1,200, and participated in sports and music. His mother, Gerry Warren, taught at University Hills Elementary School (1946-1949), and his father, Merritt Warren, a CU Law School alum, was an attorney and district judge for many years in Nebraska. After graduating from the University of Nebraska with degrees in political science and law, Warren moved to Colorado and opened a law office in Niwot in 1975. In 1997, he founded the Left Hand Valley Courier newspaper with six friends, and continues to serve as managing editor.

He and his wife Susan raised three children, Randi, Michael, and Katie, and foster son Casey Williams, in Niwot, where he has served several organizations. In 1993, Warren received Boulder County’s first Public Service Award from the Colorado Bar Association and in 2009, received the John Marshall Award from Boulder County Legal Services, where he has volunteered for 47 years. He received the Best Sports Column Writing Award from the Colorado Press Association in 2018 for “Out in Leftfield.” He has been an assistant baseball coach at Niwot High School since 2002. In 2002, the Niwot Youth Sports baseball fields on Nimbus Road were named the Biff Warren Baseball Complex.
